Learn more about me and The TranslatorsTanya Quintieri: passionate entrepreneur and service provider at heart.
I am Tanya Quintieri, a versed and qualified translator and a passionate entrepreneur. Translations have been my business since October 2002. My career took me from project management to marketing and human resources in IT companies that specialize on retail and business processes. I began freelancing in full-time in October 2009. The idea behind The Translators is simple: I am a networker by heart, both in the real world and the digital world. Hence, besides loving what I do for a living, I truly enjoy building lasting business relationships with clients and colleagues.
Some hard facts about me
I was born in 1976 to a half German, half Puerto Rican mother and a US American father with Lithuanian roots. I grew up moving back and forth between Europe and the USA until I settled in Germany in 1993. The Translators was founded in April 2016 in Prague.
Education and qualification
- In 2004, I completed my training in Business Administration, focusing on Project Management.
- In 2010, I was certified as a Qualified Translator for English and German by the German Chamber of Commerce.
- Also in 2010, I started learning about web design and built the first websites using WordPress.
I believe in life-long learning and I enjoy learning in general and taking courses, visiting trade fairs and conferences. Curiosity about business and life in general has enabled me to develop an eye for the bigger picture.
The person behind The Translators
Those who know me would probably describe me as an open-minded person, always on top of things in my area of specialization, and most of all, they would say that I have a heart of gold. If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m flexible, curious, and determined. I am an emotional person; enthusiastic and passionate about the things I love. Luckily, this also includes my work.
Aside from work, I value quality time with the people I love and I love good food and wine. I enjoy treating myself to exclusive wine & dine evenings, explore cities on short trips, and read, read, read. When I’m in the mood, I cook and bake or paint. And I love to write.
